What's 3D (puff) embroidery vs regular embroidery?

3D or puff embroidery uses foam under the stitches to create a raised, three-dimensional effect — commonly used on caps. Regular embroidery is flatter and suitable for most garments.

How can I convey instructions to the designer?

Please include any of the following when you send artwork:

  • Design size: cm, inches, or mm
  • Placement: cap, left chest, full back, beanie, etc.
  • Garment type: towel, blanket, t-shirt, pique knit, fleece, etc.
  • Desired output file(s): .emb, .pof, .dst, .pdf, etc.
